Estrogen & COVID-19: The first study results are in!

As reported recently (Dr Louise Newson Joins Prof Tim Spector for Webinar on COVID-19, 18th May 2020) Dr Newson has been working closely with Professor Tim Spector and his team on exciting research looking into the potential effects of oestrogen on reducing the severity and mortality from COVID-19.
The fascinating, and hugely important, first results are now in and show that menopause does seem to have a relevance to COVID-19, with women taking combined oral contraception having some protection.
